From the 'Catalogue > ‘Products’ menu, click the button on the upper right: ‘+ Add a product’. A product detail window will open, that you'll need to fill in. Let's take a look at the various sections:
Images: click the '+' in the first empty image frame to upload the first image. Do the same for the second image, and so on. The first image that you upload will be set by default as the main product image. To set another image as the main image, click the star icon. The main image is the picture that will be used as the preview image. Click the '+' image to add an image, click the eye icon to display a preview of the picture, and the bin icon to delete a picture.
Title: enter the product name.
Description: enter the product description, using the editor. You can type it directly, add images, videos from You Tube, use the 'Source' feature to enter programming code and all other features to format the text.
Product code (SKU): this field is required, and you must enter your reference code for the product in the warehouse. If you don't have an SKU for the product, you can assign a random code to the product or use the automatic SKU generator, which is found to the right of the SKU field.
Tax (VAT): this field is also required. You must select the sales tax setting for the product. By default, there are 3 tax settings, i.e. 22%, 10% and 4%. You can also add a custom tax rate from the drop-down menu.
Weight: enter the product weight, which will then be used to calculate the shipping fee for your customer.
Price: enter the list price of the product.
Sales price: enter the price you want to sell the product for. The 'sales price' can be the same as the 'price. If instead you choose a 'sales price' that is less than the 'price', the system automatically calculates the discount percent and displays it in a new field to the right of the 'sales price. For example, if the price is €100 and the sales price is €80, the new field with display a discount of 20%. The discount will be visible by your customers when they view the product page.
Inventory: if there is only one version of the product, you can directly enter the quantity available in the warehouse or set the product as always available. If there are different versions of the product, click the grey 'X' to activate the option. The quantity available for each version should then be entered.
Versions: if you have enabled different versions for the product, you will need to fill in the following chart. In the 'version' field, you need to insert the name of the version (in our example: 'colour') or in the 'Options' field, you'll need to enter the options of the version (in our example: red, white). To add the option, write it and press 'Enter' on your keyboard or click the'+'. Once all the options have been added, you can delete them or sort them.
Note: in the 'version' field, you cannot enter non-alphanumeric characters (e.g. / - ? _ ). Options cannot include symbols.
Categories: categories let you choose the categories in the Blomming marketplace under which to publish the product. You can enter the product in a category from your catalogue, selecting it from 'Associate to the categories of your shop'. If you still haven't created your shop's category, you can do so directly from 'Associate to categories > Add a new category'. A window will open where you can enter the name of the category, which will be automatically created in your shop also.
Summary: in the section at right, you will find the summary of the information entered about the product thus far. From here, you can also add tags to the product and choose whether to sell the product or not. Now click the 'Add product' button to complete the process.
If you enabled the 'Product with versions' option, after having clicked 'Add product', you will be sent to a new screen, where you can enter the information relating to the product versions. You can associate a different SKU, extra charges (which will be added to the list price of the product), associate a different image to each version, and add other information. To enter the correct amounts, just click on any section of the version that you want to change.
