You’ve registered, uploaded your products, saved their settings and started sharing your store via your website/blog and Facebook. Now it’s time to make your store window really shine!
Each online shop should be taken care of just like you’d tend to a brick and mortar shop: no one wants to buy products with scant to little information or items that aren't displayed well. Let's see how to create a complete listing that puts the item being sold in its best light.
The title. This is the name given to each product. It determines its identity, and thus can add value in a way that mustn't be underestimated. Try to hit the mark, but with the right length: you’ll be able to add more detail about the item in the description section. The ideal title should be partially descriptive, providing a clear idea of what's being sold, and partially expressive, customising the item and making it stand out from the crowd.
For example, it’s best not to use a product code that only the seller can understand as the title, or to simply write ‘bag’ or ‘chair’. Each item has a story to tell!
The description. Even if it may seem banal, it's very important to fill in the description field, providing a more complete explanation of the product you're offering for sale. Be sure to always include the following:
- What it is;
- How big it is;
- What it’s made of.
Other information is always interesting, useful and even necessary - and it will help the buyer choose the right item. In addition, a complete, engaging and properly written description will make it more likely that the product will be chosen by the Blomming team to be promoted on Facebook.
Attention! It may seem inconsequential, but remember: in the title and the description, use upper case and lower-case letters properly. It will demonstrate the care you've given to the creation of your listing, and thus the attention you give to the customer.
Images. That’s ‘images’: plural. Blomming allows you to upload four pictures for each product, showing it from different angles and/or in different contexts. These pictures are an essential calling card that will attract the interest of visitors online. Images are the main selling tool!
Tags. Tags are keywords. They are very important in making sure the product appears correctly in search results. Make sure you always add them!
