Browse to Sales Channels > E-commerce > Theme to bring up the section dedicated to the layout and appearance of your shop.
By clicking ‘Explore the Theme Store’, you can upgrade to a Storeden subscription and access the shop containing display themes that you can purchase and apply to your online boutique.
The ‘Update HTML/CSS’ button lets you customise the template for your shop directly from the source code. It will open the editor, which you can customise by selecting your preferred development environment.
Press ‘Preview’ to see a preview of the site.
The ‘Translations’ button will bring you to the area dedicated to translating the template into various languages.
The ‘Customise’ button will bring you to the theme configuration interface. To the left, you will see the preview of the website; to the right is a setting panel.
When you change a setting, the preview will be updated. However, your settings will be saved only when you click ‘Save’ at the bottom right. Click the ‘Site preview’ link () to view the preview of your website.
In the settings section, theme customisations are divided into:
Section: where you can configure the section, i.e. the page, that is displayed in the preview.
General: general settings.
With the ‘responsive () icon, you can apply different sizes to the preview, so that you can see how that theme will look on tablets and mobile phones.
Click the ‘world’ () icon (if your site is multi-language) to see the preview and the settings in the languages you’ve enabled. When you change the language, the settings fields marked by the language flag must be compiled with information in the selected language.
With the ‘hamburger’ () icon, you can browse the site’s system pages: homepage, shop, cart, blog, about us, and contact us. You can also implement section configurations.
Press the ‘restore' () icon to restore one of the last 5 versions of your custom settings, or return to the initial version.
Click the button and all unsaved settings will be removed, and you’ll return to the last saved version.
Click ‘General’ to view all the settings that impact the entire theme.
General settings are divided into: ‘Colours & Fonts’, ‘Reviews’, ‘Social networks’ and ‘Other settings’, grouping the settings by subject.
Click on each item to bring up the related customisations. For example, if you click ‘Colours & Fonts’, you would see a window such as this:
General settings also include the ‘Header’ and ‘Footer’. They can be customised by clicking the ‘Sections’ button. They are the same on every page of your website. The ‘Header’ settings refer to the look of the very top of the website and the main menu. The ‘Footer’ settings refer to the look of the very bottom of the website.
Section settings depend on the standard pages that make up a page created with Blomming. You can configure the following pages:
- Homepage
- Shop (product navigation)
- Cart
- Product (click a product preview to see the settings of the product page)
- Blog
- Post (click a blog post to bring up the settings for the post)
- About us
- Contact us
- Page (custom page)
These pages may have:
- Special configurations; for example, you may find ‘Shop settings’ when you open the product listings.
- A group of sections, also called 'widgets'.
Widgets are dynamic components that make up the pages of the website.
Click on a widget to position the preview of the website on a corresponding section and activate the display of its configurations.
Widgets can be:
- Shifted (drag & drop): using the mouse, you can drag a widget up or down to choose the position of its content within the preview of the site to the left. Widgets cannot be placed before or after fixed sections (headers, footers and standard content);
- Deleted: clicking on a widget, at the bottom you will find a ‘Remove this section’ link. Click it to remove the widget.
- Added: click the ‘Add new section’ button and select the widget you want to add. Each new widget is added on top of all the others. You can then move it.
Note: widgets on pages created in ‘Sales channels > E-commerce > Pages’ are shared between all pages, as these pages are modifiable via their special editor. The same is true for widgets added to the product details card.
Themes are 100% customisable. Send your request to customercare@storeden.com for a feasibility and cost analysis.
